Verez y Saberes Foundation, in alliance with the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare (ICBF) and the Young Christian Association (YMCA), carried out the "Councilman for a Day" initiative. This event gave young people in the community the opportunity to actively participate in decision-making, learning about the functioning of local government and the value of citizen participation.
During the day, participants, along with experts and community leaders, discussed crucial issues for the city and proposed creative and viable solutions. The collaboration between Verez y Saberes Foundation, the ICBF and the YMCA was key to ensuring that young people felt supported and heard, reaffirming the commitment of these institutions to building a more inclusive and participatory future.
The event not only strengthened the leadership skills of young people, but also fostered collaboration between different social actors to drive positive changes in the community.
